Is anyone else obsessed with Poke Bowls? It's kinda new to us in Adelaide but Beach Bum Kiosk is the place to go for Hawaiian fusion food. This is their Tuna Poke Bowl - fresh tuna, seaweed salad, edamame beans, papaya, pickled ginger, spring onions and garnishes. So fresh and delicious!
Hot Tip - Try the Tuna Burger and Coffee Beef Salad!

😂😂😂 Does My Bomb Look Big In This Beach Bum started it here then I think there is a Poke shop from Melbourne opening one up. I'm sure we will be swamped with it soon 😛
Undoubtedly. Glad we've moved on from chia bowls.

I have to talk about Assaggio Ristorante in Hyde Park that is sadly up for sale. A fantastic classy quality Italian Restaurant that has served us delicious food for 12 years. The time has come to retire and they are inviting everyone to come and dine before they say goodbye in January 2018. The pasta and sauce is perfection. Service always top notch and the food is classic but not boring.

Got invited to a new Thai Restaurant launch called Zaep Tastes of Thailand on O'Connell Street, Nth Adl. The food seemed promising and the passion is definitely there. We started off with some savoury Sago Balls and dived into this Gai Golek (marinated grilled chicken) straight after. Good flavours and the chicken was still juicy. Stay tuned for more preview photos.

One of my favourite budget quick eats is Bing's on Moonta St, Chinatown. Easily get a meal for $10 here. It's predominantly a dumpling and noodle shop. This time I had their special Szechuan Spicy noodles. It's not super chilli spicy but it's tongue numbing from the Szechuan peppercorns so don't be fooled by the non-red appearance of this noodles!

If you love your wings you must must must book in for GSH Wings Night at Gilber Street Hotel on Thursdays. $10 per kilo of wings, 4 flavours available and hotwings is my fave. It's that popular you even need to pre book how many kilos you want. Great vibe, casual, finger licking good wings and nice brews on tap.

More from Restaurant Blackwood. This time, perfectly seared Tuna on couscous. New discovery for me was lilly pilly powder. A lovely touch and definitely noticeable on the taste buds. It's tangy.

If you're looking for some Asian street food style cheap eats Chinatown food court is a good place to start. Just beside the Adelaide Central Market you will find a variety of Asian cuisines. Ricky's Chicken Rice has been there for years and every now and then I'll get some Hainanese Chicken Rice from there complete with his specialty green sauce.

a spot of homecooking throwback here. Blue Swimmer Crabs are in season from September to April, we often head down to jetties and sand beaches to catch them. It has a lovely sweet flavour and when you catch them yourself it is oh so fresh!! Can't wait for crab season again, make sure you dont exceed your bag limit and throw back the small ones to make it sustainable for everyone! This is my Singapore Chilli Crab using freshly caught blue swimmers in Adelaide.

Hello Turmeric Latte. Ever had one? It's a little bit spicy, definitely an acquired taste but delish and comes with health benefits. I don't have caffeine so this is my indulgence when my friends are having coffee. I must admit not everyone makes a good one but Nutrition Republic in Hyde Park pleases. They also do a crazy good Matcha Latte. Bricks & Stones in Unley don't advertise it but if you catch the right barista on duty you can request one, he puts a bit of nutmeg in and uses coconut milk. So gooood.

Did you know there is a Pink Lake just 1.5 hours drive from Adelaide? Lochiel Lake or Bumbunga is it. A vast salt lake with a pink tinge. The clearer the skies and the sunnier it is the more pink it appears. Of course moisture is needed from rain or it just looks white. Still would be pretty amazing to stand in the middle on it for a photo

Fairly new to the famous strip of bars and restaurant of Peel Street is 2nd & 6th. With a full bar and a cocktail menu to boast the true star is their desserts. We popped in for dinner and came to discover the meals are pretty darn delicious too. This mixed mushrooms tartin on sourdough bread with speck and cavalo nero had such incredible flavour.

I had a great charcutterie board and now a great Cheese Board featuring South Australia's very own Woodside Cheese Wrights cheeses. They are amazing cheeses, especially in the goat's cheese category.

Le Souk means "The Market" and what a perfect name it is for this charming stall in Adelaide Central Market. These guys serve Algerian food and their breakfast menu is a refreshing change from the usual muesli or bacon and eggs. First thoughts were I love their servingware! I tried some chakchouka and lamb sausage one fine morning and it had beautiful flavours coming from the spices used. They also sell middle eastern sweets and pastry desserts.

I got a serve of this Turkish Gozleme with lamb mince and spinach at Plant 4 Bowden market. A good sharing snack and love the flatbread though it's lacking in filling so could be a bit bland.

Now that's what I call a Charcuterie Plate. Restaurant Blackwood is the sister restaurant of Orana which has just won best restaurant in Australia. Headed by Jock Zonfrillo there is a focus on foraged and native ingredients. This plate has some beautiful cured meats, shaved rump cap and a super smooth mousse like liver parfait. That's just the beginning.
