The best kept breakfast secret in Neukölln? Maison Han's brilliant breakfast pans and Bahn Mi, all washed down with Vietnamese coffee imported directly owner Duc himself and roasted directly in store. Go there this weekend everyone else finds out about it.

Hey Per! Any thoughts on Long March Canteen? I went tonight with low expectations but thought it was pretty decent.

Another one from Mrs. Robinson's: Shrimp noodles (100% shrimp!), saffron and miso butter, roe.
Killer dish! A pure umami bomb and the noodles are very special.

Throwback to this beautiful black bean Bagna Cauda, sheep joghurt and salad from NYC's Amanda Cohen and Berlin's own Lode van Zuylen at our Terroir Berlin dinner last week. You ate the entire thing with your hands (no cutlery) and the whole thing was so wonderfully simple it kinda knocked your socks off....

Szechuan cucumber salad, shrimp noodles, grilled octopus lavash...all washed down with killer cocktails and wines. Mrs. Robinson's is now open on Mondays and finally offers the possibility for a great contemporary meal on the first day of the week.

The verdict on the new dim sum place on the corner of Kastanienallee and Oderberger Straße: Mediocre Food quality with a couple of tasty highlights, overwhelmed and hence terrible service, slightly overpriced. Course number 1 on the spectacular Terroir Berlin Chef's Dinner at The Store Kitchen was these hand-dived, 150 year old Mahogany Clams brought to Berlin by the infamous Roderick Sloan and served with hot charcoal, scallop roe emulsion, kohlrabi and buttermilk. A once in a lifetime kind of eat....

Just one of the many INSANE dishes served up as part of the Terroir Berlin collaborative dinner this week. This course was raw, unshaved white asparagus
(picked fresh that morning) served with asparagus vinegar, sorrel, cream and water mint. A collaboration between ernst's Dylan Watson and Amass' Matt Orlando. Mind. Blown.

From May 9th to 20th, before @dottir_restaurant closes its doors, Andrea Iannicella from the Dóttir kitchen team will run a Piedmontese pop up in the Dóttir venue.

Peculiar highlight of the dinner at Horvath: white chocolate and pigs blood pralines with hazelnut butter. Insanely delicious.

Had a lovely dinner at Horvath on Friday. Pretty old school and a bit stuffy, but service was impeccable, most of the food delicious and I really appreciate their wine menu with lots of rare bottles from Eastern Europe. If you're in Berlin right now, you should not miss out on indulging the seasonal white asparagus. Germans literally go NUTS over it and every decent German restaurant will be serving them right now. This simple version with potatoes, cured ham and a boatload of clarified butter is from Lebensmittel, my favorite Southern German lunch in Berlin.

I am looking for a good Mexican restaurant - I tried a few in Berlin but most of them are more some sort of imbiss/takeaway rather than a sit-down restaurant. Do you know a tasty Mexican restaurant in which you can spend more than just an hour before you feel guilty for occupying one of the very few tables?

Best place to have Business Lunch in Mitte ?

Pan fried corvina and pulpo with a seafood bisque, kind of like the Bouillabaisse of Peru. DELICIOUS!!

Revisited Peruvian eatery Chicha in Neukölln tonight and ended up having a superb meal with killer drinks. This place is a lot of fun and most of the food is pretty great, like this Saltado Lomo, check it out!

Best easy/regular sushi place around Mitte? If not Mitte maybe Prenzlauer Berg?

To thank you all for making the sun shine and helping me celebrate THE BEST ICE CREAM IN BERLIN I'm bringing in the weekend with the No.1 spot on this list and the BEST ice cream shop in Berlin: Hokey Pokey in Prenzlauer Berg. Truthfully , all the ice creams at Hokey Pokey are worth standing in the (often long) queue for, but the caramel and sea salt flavour is not just the best caramel ice cream I've had in Berlin, it's also one of the best scoops I've had across the world. Go devour it now!
