You don't need a telescope to appreciate this beautiful view, but there's one in your suite at Eden Rock if you need it

About to start on a 3 month period of travelling and realising I will soon need new luggage - what are your favourites?

My research has always taken me to bags that have the roller pully on the outside of the case so as to maximize the inside space for packing items. Too many bags put the roller pully on the inside which eats away at the usable inside space. Briggs and Riley put the roller on the outside which is great.

Today I've been checking out the Henrietta Hotel, a new 18 bedroom boutique hotel in Covent Garden in London. How cute is this bathroom?

From your bedroom, follow the corridor to your dressing room, walk-in wardrobe and bathroom, or go for a wander in the other direction where walkways filled with objets d’arts and paintings guide you to a truly stunning sitting area, designed in blues and purples with a marble fire place.

Measuring over 3,000 square feet with two terraces overlooking Mayfair, The Apartment is one of the most desired hotel suites in London.

I absolutely adore The Connaught – it’s one of my favourite places in London and I visit as often as I can.

The ceremonious hand-carved double doors of The (penthouse) Apartment open on to a huge foyer that leads to the bedroom, beautifully designed in cream and lavender with a four-poster bed, fainting couch and a serene sense of space.

Coming in at number 2 on my list of favourite hotel rooms is The Connaught in Mayfair, London.

All rooms have private balconies, many have their own fireplaces and all are spacious.

I fell in love with my suite immediately: the multiple seating areas, gorgeous stone fire place, separate dining area and direct views of my favourite part of the Alpina Gstaad, the outdoor heated swimming pool.

The Alpina Gstaad is truly stunning inside and out, capturing the essence of Swiss authenticity alongside a modern hotel aesthetic.

The design resembles that of a luxurious private chalet, and I really should emphasise the word luxurious. With only 25 rooms and 31 suites, personal service and attention is paramount here.

Continuing with my favourite hotels rooms... at number 3 we have the Alpina Gstaad

Despite being a spectacular hotel, Jade Mountain isn’t for everyone – being open to nature and the open plan living / bathroom set-up might be too much for some, but the reward for braving the elements is one of the most spectacular views you could ever wish for.
