A smoking hot tip from Stockholm, Sweden, based on a sensational dinner I had last week. Gastrologik on Östermalm is one of THE most worthwhile fine dining destinations I've visited in Sweden. Nordic Food taken to elaborate levels while still staying in the realms of phenomenally comforting. Like this dish: A langoustine “taco” on potatoe bread with a cream made from the langoustine brain. Sensational!

From a lunch last week in London. The magnificent custard dessert dumplings by A.Wong in Victoria. The finale to a meal that blew my head off, hands down some of the best Chinese I’ve had. And two days later he received his first Michelin star. Go if you have the chance!

A tip from my last trip to Zürich: The Kronenhalle in the City Centre is one of the most iconic restaurants in Europe. Think old gentlemen in whites and impeccable service. Go here for classics like Züricher Geschnetzeltes where your seconds, upon request, will be reheated for you tableside. Certainly no cheap experience, but truly special.

More on Oslo: Brutus is a very entertaining natural wine bar that also serves beautiful food. Like these fried duck wings with grated horseradish and a horseradish dip. Perfect place for a glass and a snack or a full dinner.

Here's another Copenhagen tip for you: While the new Noma is being built (estimated completion early 2018) you can swing by either their pop up Noma under the bridge until October or just visit 108, the casual fine dining bistro by the Noma crew. Expect innovative Nordic fare and natural wines in a buzzing location. Pictured is a pea and caviar dish from my visit last week.

In case you ever wondered about the best pizza in Scandinavia: Look no further than Bæst in Copenhagen, the Italian brainchild by Christian Puglisi where the mozzarella is made fresh every day using mill from his own farm. Apart from pizza, they also make world class charcuterie and great vegetable dishes. Not to be missed when in Copenhagen.

Back in Copenhagen for the weekend and enjoying the very best paletas there are outside of Mexico at Hija De Sanchez, the taqueria run by the former pastry chef of Noma.

Located in the famous hills of Brösarp in Österlen you'll find Talldungen, a magical little countryside hotel with an incredible charming restaurant. Their italo-inspired food is based on the produce of a couple of selected farmers from the area and is simply sensational. Their signature dish is a perfect piece of juicy porchetta and something I need to eat every summer. ❤

Spectacular vongole mussels with cilantro
Another highlight from Sweden, this time from the West Coast. On the island of Tjörn you'll find the famous Aquarellmuseum and inside the fantastic restaurant Vatten - come here for sensational seafood lunches. Like this thick Alan of cod with new potatoes and spinach. Incredible quality.

Cod with roasted potatoes, seaweed and a vegetable broth.
Found this incredible gem in Southern Sweden last week. About 30 mins along the coast from Malmö in Eastern direction you'll eventually find Hörte Brygga, a tiny shack by the water where you order the most extraordinary picnic baskets with fish and meat right off the smoker along with seasonal veggies, freshly baked bread and soups. All paired with a fantastic wine and craft beer selection and either enjoyed on the terrace or the dunes on the beach. One of my favourite meals in the last months, what an experience!

And then the highlight: an almond cake baked after your order with rubarbh and semi whipped cream...still steaming once you cut into it...damn
From street food markets to the city center: New restaurant Palægade serves fine dining versions of the smørrebrød and it's really well done. Like this lobster tartar with a deep fried egg on top - incredible stuff!

The best part of Danish food culture? Definitely smørrebrød, the famous open-faced sandwich that comes in hundreds of varieties. At Copenhagen street food you can get this "Stjerneskud" with fried plaice, mayo and shrimps - bloody amazing!

Schumann's Bar in central Munich. A very classy and beautiful location for a drink or a simple meal in central Munich. And they have an insane outdoor area in the old castle park.

From Southern Sweden to Southern Germany - it's pretty damn hard to find truly great food in Munich, but I spent to whole weekend eating and I found a few very cool spots that I'll post during the week.
First up: the iconic Krustenbratensemmel from Schlemmermayer on Viktualienmarkt. A bun loaded with a pork roast and amazingly crispy crackling.

This week I'll take you on a journey to one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Hidden in a tiny town on the South-Eastern part of Sweden you'll find Daniel Berlin and his crew cooking some of the most honest and interesting Terroir-focused fine dining in Scandinavia right now.

Two weeks ago I shared an absolutely sensational meal at Mikla in Istanbul with the head chef and owner Mehmet Gürs. Located on the southern tip of Beyoglu on the 14th floor of the Marmara Pera Hotel, I started off with a glass of amazing Turkish white with some of the best olives I've ever had watching this insane view.

Since we talked about my very favourite restaurant in the world last week, I'll be posting some more photos from this mythical place called Asador Etxebarri. Find it tucked in the mountains in a tiny village between San Sebastián and Bilbao. These are lightly grilled sardines.

GUEST QUESTION
Hey Per Meurling ! Loving this new channel from you! Excited to see your favorite foodie spots beyond Berlin and around the world.

Q: imagine you can hop on a plane and be anywhere for dinner tonight with no budget constraint. Where are you going?
Now that's a GREAT question 😊! And although my standard question to anything like that is usually related to Japan, my very favourite restaurant is actually somewhere else. In the middle of the basque mountains a genius chef by the name of Victor Arguinzoniz runs a Spanish grill Asador unlike any other where he cooks some of the world's finest ingredients over open fire. The place is called Etxebarri and is righteously one of the most revered foodie destinations of this planet. I absolutely love this place, there is nothing like it.

You like comfort food? Then you're going to LOVE manti. Sinop Manti in Besiktas focuses on the Turkish version of the ravioli and the thing to order is the mixed plate with both yoghurt and walnuts with a large glass of cold Ayran and then just to enjoy.

The result: Perfectly grilled beef in a home baked pide with peppers, tomatoes and a pickle. Some sauce would have been nice. Otherwise extraordinary.

WELCOME TO FINEST FOOD STORIES! As an avid food Traveller I'm stoked to show you a selection of my favourite food spots around the world. Right now I'm spending a few days in Turkey and in an effort to promote good vibes during the tense political situation I'm going to post some serious food love. First up is the epic Döner Kebab from Karadeniz in Besiktas. As soon as these guys start selling their glorious meat sandwiches at 1030 am a massive line forms until the afternoon when they sell out.
