New favorite hotel in London: The Ned โ€” it's spectacular and boasts one of the best hotel gyms I've ever seen - the picture here is of just one of 4 huge rooms in the basement Gym at The Ned. If a great gym matters to you when in London, stay at the Ned!

Here's a London hotel gym tip: if you are desiring to stay in East London, and want a great gym at a decent price, book a room at Shoreditch house. The rooms are somewhat tiny but it's affordable and you get access to the member's only soho house gym without having to be a member.

I literally choose hotels based on the gym situation. That's why I was thrilled to score two SPG rewards free nights at The Nines in Portland as I had read on some blog that they had a great gym. Sadly while the gym is quite large, the free weights area is disappointing and there's no pull-ups bar at all ๐Ÿ™ƒ tons of cardio equipment if you're into that but really, why 40 cardio machines and like a tiny free weight area?

The past couple of weeks I've had two quick trips to NYC.

NYC hotels are notoriously expensive and with small rooms and minimal ammenities -- space is at such a premium.

I found a great and afforbalr hotel for gym lovers! the High Line hotel is reasonably priced and since they don't have an in-house gym they give you a free pass to Equinox three blocks away at 17th and 10th. That Equinox is fantastic and Equonox doesn't normally allow any guest passes, so this is rare and super convenient!

In Singapore the gym at the Four Seasons hotel cannot be beat. Large area for free weights with a big selection of bars and dumbbells. Lathe variety of machines too.

London is also a tough city for hotel gyms. Soho house shoreditch cannot be beat. Soho hotel has a solid gym too albeit not very large.

Gyms at hotels in Tel Aviv are for the most part disappointing. Anyone found differently?

In Delhi, the Oberoi Gurgaon has a great gym and the hotel is fairly priced.

The Marriott at the airport also has a big gym. Not as nice as the Oberoi but good of you like free weights.
