Hah Joan Lockwood we need a full-time Trump watch on Pepo! We're thinking about the best way to restart this channel. It's definitely a topic of interest but we want to make sure that Pepo is providing a take that people cannot find elsewhere

In an anti-recount filing, Trump's lawyers say the election was 'not tainted by fraud or mistake'

In court filings submitted in an effort to block recount efforts by Green Party candidate Jill Stein in Michigan and Pennsylvania, attorneys for the president-elect stated unequivocally that there was, in fact, no evidence that any voter fraud had occurred.

The New Rules for Covering Trump - POLITICO

Starve the Troll

Yes, Trump trolls us, especially the press. We shouldn’t take his bait, but that’s not the same as ignoring him. The context in which the press dresses his tweets is paramount: If Trump makes an unsupported claim as he did on Twitter yesterday, it is news; but the news is not the claim but the fact that he’s advancing a wildly unfounded claim. That point belongs in the headline, the first sentence of the first paragraph, and elsewhere in the piece. Always pair the latest Trump deception with the news story he’s deflecting attention away from. Feel free to qualify Trump’s thrust by writing something like “in an apparent attempt to bury negative news about his recent proposal” when he tweets his cockamamie best.

When the Trump audio tape came out with him making remarks about women, his campaign decided to enter a "race to the bottom" and highlight Bill Clinton's women issues, the strategy being that if everyone is dirty it just becomes noise, people dismiss it and forget it faster, and Trump's message about the plight of the every man rises.

Perhaps the same strategy is in play now wrt voting irregularities. Greens and Dems say it might be rigged and ask for a recount, Trump escalates it by saying it might be even more rigged against him -- the net of it is that people think the entire system is rigged and only Trump can fix it.

Thanks Steve Bannon. I think he's pulling all the strings here.

Donald Trump pulls a bait and switch on America -

Perhaps we should be thankful this week for Donald Trump’s insincerity. In a breathtaking fortnight of flip-flopping, he has reversed many of his most reckless and damaging campaign positions.
