Savya Rasa. Their Rasam, chettinad and Kerala appam, parathas are awesome. http://zoma.to/r/6507631

A new Conrad hotel opened in Pune recently and it's near Koregaon Park. Nice for a day trip to the pool (they were quite amenable to a day pass).
Heard good things about their lunch buffet at Coriander Kitchen. http://zoma.to/r/18310167

There is a similar one from abudhabi as well. And we are taking that one to get home but I didn't realise the jet lag problem. Let's see how it goes.

Coming all the way from the u.s., I'm sure the last part of the trip won't be so bad as your body clock won't realize how late at night it is yet. Recovery might be challenging though!

Coming back from Dubai was not so easy. The nonstop Spice Jet departs at 10:30pm and gets into pune at 4am, which sucks because it's only a 3 hour flight with +2.5hr time change, which means a night with no sleep at all. So I rather flew during the afternoon dxb>HYD>PNQ. Longer but more reasonable as was able to get home and get a fully night sleep and be fresh for work, which is important to me.
Breakdown of the longer flight?

I took Emirates leaving Dubai at 3:00pm getting in at 8:30pm. Connection to jet airways 10pm into pune at 11:30. It's the time change that kills. But this was manageable and worth it.

This past weekend I took the nonstop Spice Jet flight from Pune to Dubai which is great because there are only 3 total international flights from pune, everything else has a connection. Flight was easy and the timing is good: depart pune at 8:30pm and in Dubai by 10pm.
