GUEST QUESTION
hello there. i noticed you have been travel around Asia. just wondering, have you ever been to Luang Prabang? any hotel recommendation? cheers
HOST
Hi Yovent Thรฉn .. Yes, I'v been to Luang Prabang. For budget stay, I would suggest staying near the night market (kitsalat road, town centre) as there are a lot of guest houses and commuting is easier. Otherwise, if you want to spend more, check the mekong riverview hotel, lotus villa boutique hotel, belle river boutique hotel. There is a hotel with a unesco preserved lotus pond, but it's on the other side of the river. haven't stayed there, but it' called Maoson Dalabua Hotel. For things to do, check this out: https://lyfandspice.com/category/laos/ Other details on my Facebook page where I had live updates. scroll back to the time stamp around 3rd june for more: https://www.facebook.com/lyfandspice/posts/1661552493872802 ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜Ž

Thank you for nice information. Do us need a tour guide while traveling there?
Lyf&Spice 2 weeks ago
You don't need a tour guide at all. Depending on your interest, you could choose out of hiking, ziplining, local market visit, boat tours, night and wet market visit and more.... You can get in touch with your hotel for cab or tuk tuk booking. We used to book from our guesthouse rather than a tour agency. Lots of agents are prwsent along the streets. You can book a ride or package just 24 hours in advance.
Woohooo!! Here I come!!!
๐ŸšœHad the most exhilarating experience on a lava jeep tour of Mount Merapi! ๐ŸšœYou can take up the 1.5, 2 or 3.5 hour tour depending on the time in hand. We took up the shortest one that took us around the lava ash, to a bunker and a museum where time stood still when the volcano last erupted in 2010. ๐ŸšœJogja turned out to be just the way we expected. Heading back and refreshed from the trip. .
Have you taken up a similar jeep tour? Let us know #indonesia

๐ŸฏBich Dong Pagoda at Ninh Binh, Vietnam.
โžกThis beautiful pagoda nestled between trees and the lush green of Tam Coc was worth the ride. We parked our bikes outside and hiked our way up to the top, to view Ninh Binh Province from a vantage point.
๐ŸฏSections: lower, middle, upper pagoda
โžกThe view is breath-taking. There are paved paths to follow within the pagoda. However, we hopped our way through the top on boulders and stones. โžกEntry fee: No, Parking fee: Yes
โžกBest route: Follow the road uphill from Tam Coc boat point, for about 2 kms. #vietnam

๐Ÿ’™ Kuang Si Falls
โžกThese falls blew my mind away. I was amazed at the beauty and serenity surrounding Kuang Si. Was I in heaven or was this a piece of paradise.
โžกTip: Hike all the way to the top. It will take about an hour to reach uphill. Follow the same route on your way down or take a slightly more difficult path on your onward journey. As you head downhill, keep stopping by the beautiful terrace-like sections of water and take a dip. Thatโ€™s the best way to cool off.

Krabi travel tip: Stay in a less crowded spot, choose Nong Thale over Ao Nang for beautiful accommodations facing the beach, private bay and secluded environment, all by yourself. What's even better is the sunset you get to witness immersed shoulder-deep in the ocean. How do you commuteโžก rent a bike.

Hiking in a bed of moss was way more difficult than I thought. It was slippery as hell, but my friend and I took up the challenge, took it slow and completed it anyway, not once but twice! *patting our backs* ๐Ÿ˜‰
Where โžก Tad Sae Falls, Luang Prabang. These waterfalls dry up during the summer, leaving the bed exposed. It was a great experience hiking there, getting to see the falls stripped down to their bare base. Who gets to see what's down under anyway?! ๐Ÿค” Couldn't let go of the chance...

We have been there many times & unfortunately find it a bit underwhelming ! Nice but completely over run with tourists ๐Ÿ˜’ .

Hi.. Are you talking about Hoi An? Completely agree... However, we chose a month that relatively lacked tourist influx. It was way too hot coz of that though, but we got to witness uncrowded streets :)

Let's talk about the gorgeous work of art in the picture โžก
Japanese Bridge: The famous symbol of the city, this bridge was built in 1590s to connect the Japanese to the Chinese quarters across the river. Notice the beautiful ornamentation, the figurines of dogs and monkeys and the shelter that covers the roof of the bridge. #vietnam
