All in all a good short trip to the French wine country. Time for a diet.

We were fairly excited for le Charlemagne the 1 star Michelin Japanese inspired modern French restaurant about 7km which is one of the few places open on Sunday. But tbh we left disappointed feeling the fish lacked flavor and the beef had an odd texture. We would choose the ma cuisine again any day.

Beaune is a quant village - everything is focused around wine. Tbh not much to do of you don't like wine and hearty French food.

We spent 40 hours in Beune, the capital of the Burgundy wine region of France, arriving on a Sunday afternoon and departing Tuesday morning. Here's our notes.
